The framework at the root of THEE is about personal endeavour. It deals simply with transcendence, i.e. standing apart mentally from how things are, and actualization, bringing about some change in the world that you determine to be worthwhile. Dynamics here are based on the tension developed between being autonomous and being constrained. The Tree for pursuing your endeavours has been developed and explained. Review it now.

The first two were originally discovered over two decades ago, and have been applied in many situations. They have been further improved and considerably refined for the TOP web-site. Investigation in Politics showed that the Spiral Hierarchy could be taken further by considering the use of all modes simultaneously. So, in 2008, I investigated applying this principle in —and it worked wonderfully and led to the third framework about employment relationships.

If you haven't had a look yet, there is some interesting stuff there, including a surprising discovery about oscillating dualities in THEE.
I am postponing posting of the Tree framework for the Primary Hierarchy so as to focus on the Principal Typology.
Current Work
Tensions between Management and Employees
I am finalizing the two Tree frameworks that map the unavoidable tensions between management and employees. One framework is about handling employment and employees (on behalf of the organization) and the other framework is about handling being employed (on behalf of oneself).
You will see this posted prior to end-2011.
Using Language and Levels of Work
People are distinguished by how they use language. This framework specifies
. It is the precursor to understanding the and the required by any society. Every domain contains that derive directly from specific ways of using language to create reality. This framework will be useful for anyone interested in levels of work and assessing capability.The ideas are developed but need to be written up for posting. You can expect to see this in 2012.
Creativity at Work
I am currently working to finalize new frameworks emerging from the
Root Hierarchy. One set deals with requirements for and the personal demands that flow from this.The other set has turned out to be more speculative and complex. It will have its own section, provisionally named:

Better Search Tools
Since my last letter, the search capabilities have been markedly improved. There is a powerful search tool (in the top tab) that does not require login. It searches:
• all public pages
• all publications
• all THEE material (for which you must login).
For THEE material (after login), you have the more focused in-house TOP Search system via the left-hand navigation column.
I know that finding what interests you precisely and quickly is vital for the usability and relevance of the TOP web-site. Much more is possible and work on a major aid for searching is currently underway.
Some people have had difficulty searching for phrases. If you search for:
levels of work
in the public system, it will search for 'levels' and 'work' to produce many hundreds of links (even with 'match all words' selected). This unmanageable. You can avoid this by using double quotation marks:
“levels of work”
This produces about 20-30 results. Similar benefits are available on the more focused system.
Political Watch
The prediction embedded in the Spiral of Political Maturation is that we are in the early stages of an economic disaster that will not just lead to new political leaders or new parties, but will re-make the existing political system—by which I mean the current conception of how power in society is managed to benefit society.
Regression to earlier Stages is always possible under stress. Still, I see it as a low probability that socialism or authoritarianism will re-emerge in developed countries as anything but a temporary phenomenon. It would require an abject refusal of millions of educated people to rise to the challenge of being more responsible for themselves. The THEE framework predicts that, sooner or later, the majority will accept responsibility for both the dismal quality of politicians that they currently elect and the self-defeating unethical policies that they currently demand. That is what will usher in change.
Social Media
The TOP web-site needs a volunteer blogger who can handle writing for a wider audience than is natural for me. Ideally they would handle other aspects of social media. If anyone is interested, get in contact.
